Northwest Runner Report: Martin Rudow
- Northwest
Runner’s September sales accounted for $4,124.00 to Club Northwest
- Running
Network in regards to paying off old debit is getting better
Events, Membership/Pro-Motion: Brian Oster
- RESO
run January 1 2006
Road Runner Sports will start to help promote the race. We will again have
a beer garden, trip-n-drip, and all the fun as last year. Let’s talk this
event up as it can and should be bigger.
- Road
Runner Sports will be a meet sponsor at some of the All Comers in 2006.
- Brian
will have an outline of the new rates that he will want to have in place
for January 2006 for Club Northwest and perhaps a new subscription rate
for Northwest Runner
Team:
- Good
showing at the Western Washington invite,
results and a slide show on our web page.
- Our
Brooks contract is up in January, it’s now time to open that up to other
companies and or work with Brooks on a new contract.
- Kelly
Kruell would like to run for Club at the X/C national’s but would need to
fly from San Francisco.
New Business:
- Our
long Range Planning meeting will be moved to sometime in January.
- T.P.,
Nick, and Phil will meet with Brian of ProMotion this Wednesday to go over
his contract and other related topics. T.P. and Nick to discuss how to
have a Saturday morning run out of the Sand Point office. (Since I’m
writing this after our meeting T.P. and I want to commit to being at the
office from say 7:30AM to 9:00AM
for a slow support group run. We will never be a social club but our
bylaws do state that will provide support and information to the community
I feel that if we can support the slowest of us and can inspire the rest to
feel that they have a base and can move up to a group run from Road Runner
Sports or Super Jock ‘n Jill we will have done a great service to the
community. That way we’re not a social Club but we continue to provide a service.
Were thinking of doing the runs on the RESO 5K course, which can only help
as a recruiting tool for the 2007 race as it could be a first race for
some.) T.P. and I will work towards this.
Motions:
- Saul
motioned that if Kelly Kruell pays her own way, she can run for the team on
the woman’s master’s team as she will be flying from San
Francisco seconded by Regina.
The motion passed unanimously
- Bill
motioned for Club Northwest to help support this year’s Winter Grand Prix
series at a cost of $300.00 seconded by Saul. The motion passed
unanimously
Meeting was adjourned at 9:24 P.M.
Respectfully submitted by Nick Fleming, Secretary
