Meeting called to order at 7:40 P.M.

  

Minutes: Nick Fleming

Minutes for the month of August were approved with corrections by Shelley and seconded with mouth full of pizza by Saul.  

 

Financial Report: Bill Roe

  • Financial report was handed out we’re in fine shape with X/C spending right around the corner.  

 

Northwest Runner Report: Martin Rudow

·        Martin will be sending out a mailer soon as he does every year.

·        Northwest Runner is $5,000 ahead of budget year to date.

·        Shelley and Tom will work with Craig Romano with the Washington Club Report in Northwest Runner in respect with Club Northwest.

 

Events, Membership/Pro-Motion: Brian Oster

  • All Comers numbers are in. The 12 week series netted Club NW a whopping $2,500 dollars. We did out spend our post event budget by $300 but a good time was had by all folks who made it to  XXX restrant afterwards. We gave out $1,500 in prize money, however there were collegiate athletes so we can’t give them the money, nor can we give it to the school. Bill will find a way to get it to the schools within the NCAA rules.
  • We see nothing but an increase in participants and fans at next years All Comers and Bill and T.P. will work towards a youth movement T.P. does a lot of work the C.Y.O.
  • Fire Cracker 5000 brought in $3,845.00
  • Road Runner will be on board in 2006 with the same generosity as they were this year with the RESO and Firecracker 5000 race. We may not have them as a title sponsor however, but will be a presenting sponsor.

  

Team:

·        The first Cross Country meeting had a good 25 or so in attendance.

·        New jackets have been ordered, should be available at Super Jock n Jill after October 9th.

·        We will not be participating in this year’s Club National Invitational 10K, but will take it up next year in the budget, as this could be a good event to be in.

·        We need to have an answer for the 10-12 min mile people. We need to address this issue this year. Stayed tuned on this.       

             

Continuing: New Business/Motions

  • Motions: Shelley motioned to any Club Northwest Masters runner who qualifies with an open time, be fully funded for the Nationals in Rochester N.Y. seconded by Saul. The motion passed unanimously.  

  

    

T.P. had to leave early so Shelley adjourned the meeting at 9:15P.M.
