Openings:

Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm.

 

Minutes:  Phil Finger

Corrections made to the month of April’s minutes.  Tony Robinson moved that the amended minutes be approved and it was seconded by Regina Joyce.  Motion passed.

 

Financial Report:  Bill Roe

Bill indicated the CNW had $25,587.79 in the bank or in a PayPal account.  All sponsorships of the 2006 All Comers meets have been sold.  There is $1,500 in prize money remaining from the 2005 All Comers meets that needs to get to the athlete winners.  CNW’s current financial balance is $28,537.79.  Bill passed out a proposed schedule of new CNW membership fees which will be discussed at the June 12th meeting.

 

Northwest Runner Report:  Martin Rudow

Another good month for Northwest Runner.  The Sports Medicine column is back in the magazine.  Participation in the Vancouver Marathon and Bloomsday road races was up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Team:  Chuck Bartlett

There were six CNW team members present to receive Brooks athletic gear.  The CNW team will be going to the marathon relay next week.  Lauren  Matthews of the CNW team came in as the 3rd Washington athlete in this year’s Bloomsday run.

 

Events and Membership:  Brian Oster.

Club Northwest membership renewals will now be sent out directly from club instead of being included in the subscription renewal to Northwest Runner magazine.  May 31st is the first of 12 All Comers meets on Wednesday evenings at Shoreline Stadium.  TP is paying for multi-color ribbons to be given to the children athletic participants.  CNW will need a good supply of volunteers to help with these meets.

May 17th and 19th is the High School District 3 championship track and field meets, and we have been asked to help with these meets.  Brian also requested help at the upcoming Firecracker 5000 meet at the Seattle Center the evening of July 3rd. 

 

New Business:

The move to adjourn was made by Tony Robinson and seconded by Tony Young.  The meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.

 

The next Club Northwest Board meetings will be June 12th and July 10th.
