I work part-time at Ogden Clinic as a triage, after-hours Nurse.

Volunteer Work

I assist with helping coach and mentor athletes at Weber State University. I assist by running with the team and helping teach them drills, lifts, and nutrition to promote healthy lifestyles and injury free running careers. I have given motivational speeches at cross country camps. I have also given the graduation commencement speech at Mountain View High School. And have volunteered time to another local high school with teaching their participants correct form and running drills to help prevent injury and increase physical fitness. I am a volunteer tutor at a local Elementary school once a week. I am also actively involved in helping mentor and spend time with the youth in church activities.

Amber grew up on a cattle ranch in the southwest corner of Wyoming where she learned how to work hard and never give up until the job is done. She attended Mountain View High school where she earned honors in the classroom and was also a 15-time State Individual Champion on her track and field team at state, as well as a being part of a 3-time State Champion team.  She was also an All State athlete in basketball and volleyball. She attended Weber State University in Ogden Utah on a Track and Field scholarship where she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nursing and became a 3-time All American athlete in the 3000m Steeplechase and Cross Country. She also earned high honors and All American Academic team. She graduated from WSU in the Spring of 2014. She is currently working as a part-time nurse at Ogden Clinic and training fulltime for the 2016 Summer Olympics. She enjoys spending time with her husband Jedd, family, and close friends in anything that involves outdoors and physical activity (helping on the family ranch, fishing, shooting, hiking, and of course running). She also is happily active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoys cooking, reading, praying, meditating, and learning various things in her downtime.
