Meghan Lyle, Lead Coach at Airvale, MPH, RDN, CD
Meghan has seven years of experience working with clients to optimize health through personalized, evidence-based nutrition counseling. She was previously the Lead Dietitian at Lifelong, a Seattle nonprofit, where she led a team that provided individualized nutrition therapy and a mobile cooking and nutrition program around the county. In her current role she is a Lead Health Coach at Arivale, a Seattle-based scientific wellness company. In this role she has worked with competitive athletes to optimize their health and reach training and competitive goals. She has spoken at conferences and private organizations on the subjects of nutrition, inflammation, healthy aging, management of chronic disease, and more.
Her personal foray into the field of nutrition came during her start as a competitive runner at the University of Washington, where she saw directly the impact of good nutrition on athletic performance. A late bloomer, she walked on to the team as a senior and borrowed spikes for her first race. She surprised herself (and her team) with a strong season, running third for her team at the NCAA Division I XC Champs and was named 'Most Valuable Newcomer' by her team. After this brief taste of competitive running, she found a group of like-minded individuals in Club Northwest and continued to train, specializing in longer distances. She has a PR of 2:53 in the marathon, which she hopes to best after her second son is born. She's counting on some stroller running to help get her back in shape!
