Like Galen Rupp, Grant transferred from a mediocre high school career in competitive soccer into track & distance running. Unlike Rupp, Grant's distance running career has also been mediocre. That's okay, though, because at the end of the day Grant runs for fun and for the taste of an ice-cold Miller Lite.
